Drake’s Formula for Attracting Women

Drake’s “Make Me Proud” featuring Nicki Minaj hit the internet today, and received a mixed response from fans. Male Drake fans are usually split into two separate categories:
1. Men who think Drake is an innovative lyricist, and blast “Sooner or Later” every time they’re on the outs with their significant other.
2. Men who fantasize about burning every single one of Drake’s Cosby sweaters one-by-one until he stops crying on records.
Many female Drake supporters seemed to like the record, and for obvious reasons. Drake has a tried and true method for reeling in female listeners. Combine a twerk-able beat with lyrics that empower women WHILE making them believe they have a chance with the Canadian-born rapper - “And I love it when your hair still wet cause you just took a shower/Running on a treadmill and only eating salad” – and add in a bravado-filled Minaj verse – instant Drake hit for the gentler sex.
Honestly, the chorus isn’t that exciting. Drake chanting “I’m so proud of you” over and over with the help of Autotune? It just sounds like one of his past records. Plus, Nicki does some Pink Friday-esque singing in the middle of the track that throws it off a tad, but overall, Aubrey knows what he’s doing.
“Take Care” has been pushed back to November, but that’ll give him more time to promote, and maybe we’ll hear him go off again like we know he can.
