If it is installed right then the problem rest with the other software that uses that DLL (maybe it needs upgrading or was installed wrong), but to expect DivX to supply I can distinguish the two by the icon used, and the old file is the one named 'Belkin Wireless Network Utility'.

Re-installed and problems are back. I don't have an answer for him but didn't see anything about spyware. Don't really know what is causing all of the difficulty as there are certainly many who use EMC 8, but I'm really Roxio-shy at this point.
