The path and file exist and are accessible to the SQL_Replication_Dev user (I tested this by logging into the server and navigating to the file via the share - is that I am trying to capture the existing configuration precisely, but clearly am missing something. Well, if you are like most, you probably configured the Distributor using the Configure Distribution Wizard or the New Publication Wizard which defaults the snapshot folder to a local path. One note: the old subscription is still up and functioning, and uses the same accounts to connect to the distributor.
