The Eiffel Tower in Paris has been evacuated after an anonymous bomb threat sparked panic in the French capital.

Around 2,000 were led to safety and police combed through the world famous landmark.

One tourist said: “We were just about to get on the elevator. and they told us that something was wrong and we all had to leave.

“Everybody was being told to move back, move back, move back.”
