If you get messages about additional software or hotfixes installed, you can safely ignore them. Try downloading SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes, update both of these before running the scans. Hardly did I know that that was the worst decision I've ever made. Uninstall works fine and then the machine is back to normal (but only with SP1 of course).
