We make use of the ImageCache::get_pixels function. So it might be the ImageInput objects or even ImageCacheFile not released somewhere. it's a shared pointer that will be freed when the threads no longer need those tiles. What's the theoretical best case? I can see how that might look like a leak, though it is not. I have narrowed it down to the ImageCache of OIIO.
