I have had some corrupt images before, but never one that I can look at on my desktop, but not import into iPhoto. Have been trying to import for MONTHS, started with fresh library/cache/preference, even upgrading to Lightroom CC. I have only a single user account on my iMac. As I had always suspected, it turned out to be a very simple matter indeed.
Here was the solution that fixed that warning for me. Are you definitely updated to 3.3 on the Mac? Exactly my issue, as well. Then import them into iPhoto.
