I understand that I need to download NTFS-3G, but have no idea how to do so correctly. This comment has been removed by the author. I ran Disk Utility on the Mac Pro, and both internal drives reported no problems. After "pulling the plug" and reconnecting, NTFS-3g doesn't mount the volume, and the volume is mounted as read-only, despite "always recover unclean volumes" being checked in the prefpane. check over here
Question is, how can I create the installer again using InstallESD.dmg. They had over 50% one star rating for El Crapitan. Anybody know the workflow for this? While the drive says it is 16GB, I think it might only by 4GB. additional hints
Reply gev says: February 20, 2014 at 9:17 am I have the same issue as someone mentioned above, the installer gets to the ‘copying installer files to disk' then it seems I wouldn't mind if it was any usual SD, but the one I used is a special version meant for the latest GoPro, which was tough to find (and costly), so today (1-29-14) the ibook reader patch also fixes the DVD drive…still no SD card reader functionality.

Searched a bit for the dead userspace part that macfuse complained about, it seems to be an ugly race-condition under high io-load or if my disk takes a week to spin-up check my blog I then erased an external HD I have lying around, and repeated - this worked like a charm and I got the Maverics clean installed. It rested on "about a second remaining" for about 2 hours before going on to the actual installation.. And yes, both times it was while the disk was mounted on Mac OS X with NTFS-3g.
