It does not appear at startup or in the Startup disk Preference. The retail version of Tiger won't, as I recall, work on Intel machines (a special Intel build of Tiger was made available on the install discs that shipped with Intel machines).

This is a long shot, but sometimes when I have problems with install discs, I make a copy of the disc at a slower speed and try using the copy instead.

If you choose the 8 GB thumb drive option, the WHOLE disk will be erased. The method is not really easy though. Check Macworld for the full story. After you got the InstallESD.dmg file, use it to build your key or DVD with Lion DiskMaker. Edit: System is up and running Leopard and I'm adding software but it does look like I have issues w/the EpsonPrinterDriver package, time to burn a new dvd...Click to expand... Beware anyone else out there. I've already trying to reburn the DVD at the slowest speeds possbile, but I get the same error. The majority of the time you can swap the RAM back and it will work fine.

The time now is 12:12 PM. my Air install DVD wont install on my MacBook, I have a retail version which I´m trying now... I have the disc in my hands but now I don't have enough ram. @You Am I you should check you ram dude since I had exactly the same problem. Alrighty.
My machine had Apple RAM, passed all RAM tests, and worked fine with Tiger. It then brought me to the installer on boot up, so I configured my settings, and then it started installing leopard. You leave the window world so you no longer see the blue screen. However, I was tempted to post this time.

This will open a window where you can view all of the progress of the installer. For example, you can't use DVD Player, capture video in iMovie, use audio input or output devices, or use an internal or external USB modem. There are two solutions here : Re-install at least Lion on a drive, boot on it, open App Store and re-download the apps… If your Mac does not support older versions
